Na Tiristich
From Tiree with Love

Tiree is the most westerly island in the Inner Hebrides. It’s approximately 12 miles long and 5 miles wide and has a population of around 650. Surrounded by sandy beaches and with an abundance of birds and wildlife, it’s a popular destination for summer visitors. Its exposed location on the Atlantic also makes it a favourite place for windsurfers and the Tiree Wave Classic, the longest running professional windsurfing event in the world, is held on the island every autumn. The focus of this series though is those for whom the island is home.

Filmed over a six month period in 2019, the programmes follow the stories of “Tiristich”, Tiree islanders, as we find out what it’s like to live and work on beautiful Tiree.

There are clips and more information on this programme’s BBC page.
